The Power of Produce (POP) Club provides a fun opportunity for children to engage in the local food system through conversations directly with farmers, educational games, and exposure to new fruits and vegetables. These activities could include a market scavenger hunt, guess the veggie game, or ink stamps out of market vegetables. When POP Club kids complete the activity, they receive $5 tokens to spend at the market on produce, allowing them to make their own shopping decisions at the market.
Volunteers will manage the POP Club booth, guiding kids through the fun activity and handing out the coveted tokens. Tools, materials, the tent, and tables will be provided. You get to spend the day working with kids, providing healthy food to families, and supporting our local growers!
